PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Heritage is located in Silver Spring, Maryland and includes the adaptive re-use of a 3 level historic brick building for apartments as well as the incorporation and preservation of the facade of a second brick building into the base of a new 9 story high rise building. The 342,000 sq ft apartment building containing 210 dwelling units is located on a 1.26 acre urban site. An outdoor pool and amenity terrace are located atop 2 levels of structured parking, providing 205 spaces and support functions. The Type IA structure utilizes light-gauge load-bearing metal framing proprietary to The Infinity Structural System and Epicore decking for the top 8 stories. Parking and the first 2 stories above grade are cast in place concrete. Brick and stucco are the primary skin materials to recall traditional materials used in the neighborhood. Amenities include club and media rooms, a fitness center, a business center, and a golf simulator located off the two story lobby space.
