Mixed Use • Sam’s Crossing

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Located in the rejuvenated neighborhood of Avondale Station, Avondale mixed use apartments will include roughly 197 upscale units over 5 stories as well as 8,000 square feet of shopping and dining opportunities on the street level. The exterior takes its inspiration from early to mid-20th century brick warehouses, which has been adapted into a cleaner, more modern facade that showcases its rich detailing. Highlighting its commitment to easy transit access, Avondale will be fully accessible and welcoming to both pedestrians and cyclists, with eye-catching storefronts, street canopies, and accessible sidewalks. The project also boasts quick and easy access to both Stone Mountain Trail and the Avondale MARTA Station. Planned demolition will make way for a one acre park to showcase existing mature trees in the area and adding outdoor seating, allowing further walking and biking transit options. Outdoor spaces will also be provided within the community itself, along with a resort-style pool, large clubroom and fitness center, and dog spa, among other luxury amenities.

“I’ve done numerous projects with The Preston Partnership over the years and I have nothing but high praise for the firm. Whether a single project or multiple projects, they have always provided great design, reasonable fees, and service that is second to none. They are a terrific group of people and I can recommend them without hesitation.”
